CONSTRUCTION

A welt is a promise
you can keep.

Most shoes are glued. Ours are stitched to a leather welt, which means a cobbler can cut the sole away and build it back without touching the upper. That is the entire difference between a shoe you replace and a shoe you own.

THE FLAGSHIP

Sovereign Shell
Cordovan Boot

Horween shell cordovan, hand-welted in a run of sixty pairs a year. Six months of making, forty years of wearing. From $2,000.
Sovereign Cordovan Boot
FROM $15

Start at the shallow end

The same leather standards, without the price of a welted boot. Slides, canvas low-tops and cedar shoe trees that earn their place in the rotation.

Small-batch tanneries

Full-grain calf and suede from family-run tanneries in Portugal, Spain and Italy - never corrected-grain.

Repairable by design

Welted and blake-stitched soles are meant to be cut away and remade. We will point you to a cobbler, not a landfill.

Honest pricing

No wholesaler, no licence fee, no department-store markup. From a $15 slide to a $2,000 cordovan boot, the price is the cost of making it.
